The observations of the PHNX and JV podcast are reiterated in this article from azcentral.com - Kyler cooks up Indy Secondary
Cardinals offensive weapons & KM1 dominated however the OL had some problems in Pass Pro. We'll see if the OL performs better today but in these scrimmages the WR vs. Secondary competition is a focus whereas in a true NFL game, the Cards running game and play action off that would be more prevalent. At least the reports from Indy are far more glowing than last year's scrimmages vs. the Vikings with Colt McCoy not being able to push the ball downfield at all due to shoulder/arm issues. NOTE: Chisena needs to make this team over Pascal Chisena is 6'3" and great hands with some ST experience on other teams.

The reporting mostly highlights the Colts players. Not much was said about the Cardinals O/D players, except KM running around after the OL layed down. The Colts sports media highlighted that IND starters mauled the AZ offensive line, causing KM to run for his life again. I thought we fixed that issue in the offseason? Maybe not. More to follow...

Well the only excuse I can give the oline is, they were playing 11 on 11, no run plays. So the dline were coming on every snap. But the oline knew this too. Its only a practice, but as I said, this team has holes on both sides of the ball. Until they show they are filled, there are still issues.

I like the focus on one-on-one matchups in the preseason as the Cards confirm what they have in individual players. This is the basis for the eventual cut days. After that when the real games are played the team concepts are installed.
One of the players who has shown personal growth and consistency is Chisnea. Other players like Lopez, Starling Thomas and Wilson are showing out and showing up. Several rookies are confirming their worth and value as well.
It is great to see the positive reports in Indy.

After seeing the Colts practice, I really believe Kyler has a very good chance of having a break out year. Teams are going to have to plan for MHJ, which will free up the other receivers. The last time he had a legit WR1 where they had to plan for him, referring to Hopkins, Kyler had a really good season. So really excited to see what he can do with MHJ, Wilson, Dortch and a really good TE in McBride. I dont have a lot of excitement outside of that though. Still have questions in the defense. Specifically pass rush and secondary.

One top fantasy guy has McBride as the top TE, and you don’t find him much lower than 3rd. Kyler has recently been the QB getting buzz as a rising bargain QB. MHJ is being talked about as the top offensive rookie RB/WR. Fantasy is not reality, but it is based on production in yards and TD’s, and great teams usually have top fantasy players at several offensive positions.

I have been reading pretty much the same thing....
I think we are in for a really big surprise on how well our team is going to do...something to the effect of when Boldin was a Rookie...but much better than that...were we shocked when in his first game as a Rookie against the Detroit Lions in 2003, he had 217 Receiving yards...
I still don't know what it is...but I have a gut feeling that our team is going to surpass the shock of Boldin's first game as a Rookie....
Just saying....
