The actual podcast doesn't start for another 40 minutes so I'll give an update to this breaking news when I get more information.
Update: JV Podcast stated he went down with not a lot of contact being blocked by Jonah Williams. He had to have the training staff help him off the field. JV says expect him to be out for a "prolonged" period of time. Obviously MRI's will take place and a more definitive timeline will be provided in the next few days.

AZCardinals.com's Zach Gershman also says CB Elijah Jones exited with an injury with a trainer by his side...

From Sports Illustrated:
GLENDALE, AZ -- With roughly ten minutes remaining in their Friday training camp practice, the Arizona Cardinals saw their top pass rusher in BJ Ojulari hit the grass at State Farm Stadium with what appeared to be a left leg injury. It's unclear exactly how Ojulari was injured, as he was spotted in the backfield laying on the ground far after the play was over. Ojulari was then evaluated by trainers where they did a few tests on his left leg before helping him up and to the locker room with a noticeable limp.

Steelers signed Markus Golden yesterday. Most other available pass rushers, like Carl Lawson and Yannick Ngakoue are guys coming back from injuries. Cowboys are looking at Lawson.
Injuries will happen and pile up as they always do. We need to decide if we think we should go for it this year competitively, or spend another rebuild year not necessarily worrying about the record and playoffs. If we want to go for it, we have money. The top FA (and youngest of the top 50) is Connor Williams, who I’ve mentioned on the Hjalte thread.

This one is the immediate aftermath.... link

JV has heard speculation the Jets are ready to move on from Reddick ... do the Cards offer 2025 4th rounder but commit themselves to an extension for Reddick at near $20M/yr.
Wonder how much Judon wants from the Pats?
Seems like a call should go to Yannick Ngakoue whom would allegedly sign on a 1 yr. $8M deal instead.

I'm all about giving Xavier Thomas a chance. He was a former top prospect coming out of college, and his path to the NFL was delayed due health reasons. He's a monster though...and just ran a 4.55 at the combine and had 26 reps on the bench. He had good production in his healthy years.
Being a Jags fan, I used to like Yannick Ngakoue, but he is a liability in the run game. He might have some pass rush juice left though.

Cardinals don't appear in a rush to add signings; the FO have stated previously that they like the current roster, and I am taking this at face value and the truth.
There could be some interesting opportunities arise when the roster sizes start getting cut down, and if Ojulari's injury is a bad one, then at Edge would be the obvious position to recruit.

Should know more on BJO when JG has his presser today. Maybe we get lucky for once. If not we almost certainly looking outside for an edge. I for one call Jets and see if they would trade Reddick who is holding out for extension. Jets had given up a conditional 3rd for him. I would offer a 2025 3rd for him. He is still one of the best pass rushers and excelled under JG with Eagles. We have cap space for extension. Given how great our offense has looked in camp so far, adding Reddick would make this team a force on both sides of ball.

Or offer Jets Xavier Thomas and a 2025 5th.

Many players got their chance due to an injury of a player higher on the depth chart. Terrible news, I still trust Monti will do what is needed.

I'm thinking we need to have some solid info before we just start throwing picks around chasing after whoever...

I'm thinking we need to have some solid info before we just start throwing picks around chasing after whoever... There isn't much at edge out there as per FAs. I wouldn't be in favor in throwing picks and reaching for a player a team is willing to part with. Not saying he is a starting edge, but Mack Wilson would be a solid third down edge rush option...he is a valuable piece.
