Forget Denver, they just acquired Wilson from Jets. Didn’t really solve anything for them. Another casted off qb. I agree with you though miracles do happen but my my is an amazing how the great wonderful Sean Payton has totally screwed up the broncos? I don't know if elway is still involved with the broncos or not but I cannot see him being happy at all about what Peyton has done if he is To be fair, Peyton wasn’t there when they traded for or paid Wilson. He took a 5-12 2022 team and despite the mess with Wilson had an 8-9 record last year. Gannon took a 4-13 2022 team and took them to…4-13. There are reasons Denver likely doesn’t have the draft ammo to come up for a QBOF. 1) The foolish Wilson trade and 2) Peyton bringing them to .500 play. I can’t believe we were an 11 win team just three years ago in 2021.

Gannon took a 4-13 2022 team and took them to…4-13. ... Aided by Murray having a structural failure of his knee early on - and revealing immediately that we had NO decent backup QB. And also revealing that once KM was back, we weren't that bad a team, even with a weak defense. I don't totally blame Gannon for that, but it is more indication that having our season results based on Murray or any other single QB was not wise. That's why I would not be averse to drafting a strong prospect for QB backup, or even two in late rounds or UDFA. I do wonder whether the Ridder pickup was a smart move as #2 or 3... I can't see him as heir apparent to KM in a year or two, nor Tune - Yet. So, given that QB is the single player position most critical to wins and losses, is it wise to avoid drafting a great prospect should one fall to us at #4 pick? Would fandom go berserk if we did draft a QB? The MHJr supporters surely would, but could he be as critical to a season record with a ho-hum QB, as Murray has shown to be, even lacking great WRs? I'm not pumping Murray here, just reviewing how he impacted our last season - and how weak backups failed us. For the latter we can blame JG and Monti. Loss of a good QB can ruin a season - any other position less so. There is some tongue in cheek above, but the question remains valid: Why not consider drafting a QB if a good one falls to us? Chew on that bone and let the retorts fly... IMHO

Daniels, unfortunately, climbed the ranks like the other guy I like, Odunze. Or maybe fortunately, as he will now go before our #4 pick and possibly help us land a trade haul.

Just wish we'd tanked better.
