It was clear that Gannon was trying to lower the chances of a victory against the bears. As far as going for a two-point conversion I'm 1,000% against doing that when you need two touchdowns and extra point and a two-point conversion. I didn't say that very well but what I mean is that I don't believe in going for the two-point conversion when you score the first touchdown that you need. If you don't make it it deflates you because then you still need two scores to tie the game. All over that assessment, I agree 100% . With not much time and a porous defense that was a bad decision. Looks obvious the plan now.

We're getting ZERO from our WR's. Might be the worst group I have ever seen. If this doesn't scream Harrison nothing does. The Bears group is worse if you look at the 'total' group. We are better at every supporting offensive position except WR1 and DJ Moore didn't do squat against us yesterday. Our RB is better, our TE is better, and our second and third WR are better so while I'm definitely in favor of upgrades, we aren't the worst team. Dortch is definitely a serviecable WR3 I'm not talking about RB or TE. DJ Moore has over 1000 yards and although he didn't "do squat" yesterday I'm pretty sure you didn't notice he got hurt in the 1st quarter and struggled to get back. So you got one very good WR and we got nothing but a ragtag bunch of midgets.

Pats are helping the Cards draft position. They did indeed, if we don't mess it up It's gonna be Harrison or a Qb just don't see another option unless the trade down happens I think with so many Qb's that might not happen unless someone falls in love. Can't stand the thought of not seriously getting the replacement for KM. I don't like taking Qb late unless we already have a Qb we can count on and I am positive KM is not that guy. MHJ and another tall WR like 6'3" Rice from USC (Jerry's son) Cards can get two HOF WRs sons. I like Sweat DT TX in the second round, two big DEs, two mid round DBs, at least one ILB like Wilson SC or Colson Michigan. Last one or two IOL Oregon's C or WV C and guard like Christian Mohogany BC or guard Zinter Michigan. Depending on trades the Cards can have 10-13 picks with most of them in the top 100-120 prospects. I believe Dobbs started enough to get the 6th rounder back. Monti needs to get a couple starters in FA also. There isn't enough competition for starting positions on the roster.

DJ Moore is clearly better than our #1, but we are better at the other 4 offensive skill positions and have a higher ranked OL. When you have 4 other skill options plus a better OL you have more support. No one is saying our support is great. Just that KM has more 'offensive' support than Fields does because 1 player isn't enough. Pre-game, I even joked about how defense could easily just 'double' DJ because they lack support elsewhere. The bears other two WR's were also out sick most of the week. Not sure if you saw that in the pre-game comments.

1:58 left and Pats n Denver tied 23 all. Pat have the ball. EDIT: Pats win 26-23. Dortch needs more play time. Kyler needs more time under center. Only 2 games left and is now 2-4 under K1. He Won't win any more games this year unless he steps it up Bigtime. Not gonna happen though. Gannon Has to STOP going for the 2pt conversion! OMG! What is he 0-8?! worse? Let Prater kick! 2nd full game I've seen of the Cards this year. The Dobbs lead win over Dallas was Fun to watch. This was Painful... The slowness of the refs in getting the ball placed is costing teams this year. Car had a chance to clock the ball but the Ref was slow to set the ball. Game would've went into OT and who knows.... Have a Merry Christmas y'all! Be Blessed. We need to sit KM and not screw this up, They know what Kyler is , he is average in a league of bad Qb's. If they are fine with KM and things go badly and they didn't get a Qb then it's on them and the front office. I am talking early Qb with the best chance to hit. If we do end up with pick #2 (or #1)and can score big trade capital, what would you think of a trade down with a weak QB-needy team including their 2025 1st rounder, similar to the haul we got from the Texans last year? Then we could focus on building the team this draft and free agency, see what that does for us and Kyler as our QB, and then determine next year if we want to grab a top QB. If Kyler doesn’t work out, our own 2025 pick would be in the first half of the draft and likely the 1st we traded for would be as well. Last year the Texans traded up to our #3 and in exchange we got #12, #33 and then the Texan’s 2024 first and third rounder. That trade was for Will Anderson, not even for a QB. We would miss on Harrison Jr or one of the top two tackles, but could add an additional 2024 early second rounder and 2025 first and third, plus whomever we take in the first this year. For example, using the current draft positions, say QB needy Atlanta trades up for our second. A fair trade up would be 2024 #11, #47, #78 and 2025 first and third rounders. That would mean this year we’d have two picks in the first half of the first round, two in the first half of the second round, and four in the first half of the third round…SEVEN PICKS IN THE TOP 80 of what looks like a very strong day 1 and 2 draft. In addition, we’d gain a first and third next year which could be packaged IF NEEDED with our own pick to move up and grab a QBOF, or simply use if Kyler does well.

Our defense allowed three TDs in the Bear’s first 4 possessions and 22 min of the game. And then our Dline allowed 250 rushing yards, to make it almost impossible to catch up. That’s how you play football…take a nice lead and then run and run and run. Kyler threw for 230 and two TD’s and ran for another 34 yards at 6.4 yards per carry, and a near 100 QBR. Justin Fields threw for 170 and 1 TD, 1 INT but our defense let him run for another 97 yard and TD at nearly 11 yards per carry! We were forced early into being one dimensional…passing. And we have crap at WR, especially with Brown hurt yet again. I’m very disappointed in Wilson, who was flashing talent with Dobbs when he was healthy. He and Kyler seem on such different pages, and he can’t seem to get open. If we beef up our defense, especially interior Dline and corner, and then fix our interior Oline and get Kyler some big targets, we will be a vastly different team.

If we beef up our defense, especially interior Dline and corner, and then fix our interior Oline and get Kyler some big targets, we will be a vastly different team. We may be a different team but Fields still put up almost identical total yardage, same TDs and same turnovers. Neither team is any good and I think most expected that with Kyler already having 5 games under his belt, that he would have produced more, a good amount more than Fields, especially with more support which no one can really argue, especially with DJ Moore exiting the game. We are stuck with Kyler and everyone knows it. It is what it is. But through 6 games, he's had plenty of practice time to knock off rust, especially with them not rushing him back this season. And through those 6 games he's done following: 217 ypg 1.5 TD per game passing 1 INT per game 62.3% completion 6.3 yards per completion He's also fumbled 4 times and rushed for 3 TDs. So his total TD to turnover ratio would basically be 1:1 or close to it had our team not recovered the all the fumbles. In fact, his fumble and INT rates are worse this year than previous years. Indicating Regression. His sack rate isn't as bad as his rookie season but it's close. There's really no excuse for that given we are running the ball so much better and he should be processing reads much fast in his fifth year.

In the case of a season where we didn't have a starting QB for the first half of the season while breaking in an entirely new coaching staff is there really any reason not to try out different high risk plays to see how they work? It would have been great to be more competitive this year but at 2-10, does it matter if we follow the "norm" for play calling?

Qb class I really don't see as weak if that was the case why wuould a trade up ? Everything I am seeing from the coaching tell's me they want that high draft pick for a reason. I can't rule out they want to trade down. I will support what they do but if we don't take a Qb I might be very disappointed if we pass on Qb and miss on Harrison. If they think that makes sense to pass on both and load up on more picks so be it but I have always been about quality over quantity. I wished Iknew what they were thinking but we won't know for sure until it goes down. Imo the only way they do not draft Qb is if they are convinced they can and will win with KM just my opinion though.
