GAME WEEK 9 ARIZONA CARDINALS @ CLEVELAND BROWNS
RECAP CARDINALS VS RAVENS
The Cardinals came out like they were ready to play as they went down to score on the opening drive. Baltimore came back to tie the score up at 7-7. Once again, like last week the Cardinals went for it on 4th down and failed on their next drive. The Cardinals went for it later in the game on 4th down and once again failed. The percentages weren't there. In the game. Josh Dobbs was his own worst enemy with two interceptions He went 25-37 for 208 yards 2TDS and the 2 picks. Amari Demercado had another productive outing with 20 carries for 79 yards.Trey McBride had his best game with 10 receptions for 95 yards and 1TD.
On defense, the Cardinals played well for much of the game but what hurt them the most were penalties 6 for 70 yards Pass interference penalties on Marco Wilson & Antonio Hailton kept drives alive for the Ravens. On the positive side the Cardinals held the Ravens to 268 yards of total offense. The defense sacked Lamar Jackson 4 times in the game. Rookie Dante Stills had 1.5 sacks and fellow rookie BJ Ojulari had his first NFL sack.
Overall, the Cardinals played better against superior competition. The 4th down turnovers on downs, interceptions and ill times penalties all contributed to the team losing their 5th consecutive game. Now the team must regroup and travel East to play the Browns in Cleveland.

GAME WEEK 8 CARDINALS @ BROWNS
GAME PREVIEW CARDINALS @ BROWNS
This week the Cardinals travel to play the Browns in Cleveland. Back in the 1960's, the two teams were NFC East & later NFC Century division rivals from 1966-1969. In 1970, The Browns moved to the AFC Conference ending the long rivalry. At 1-7 The Cardinals are going up against one of the NFL's top defenses in the 5-3 Browns. The Browns played Seattle close last week but when home losing 24-20 to the Seahawks. QB PJ Walker had a pedestrian outing throwing 2 interceptions passing for 15-31 248 yds and 1 TD. His weapons on offense are WR Amari Cooper RB Kareem Hunt and the Browns' really good TE in David Njoku.
With the trade deadline looming, we should be watching with interest in who the Cardinals will be moving on from. The type of trade and return on the trade will be a big indicator of who wants to be a Cardinal and who wants out. Safety Budda Baker and Marquise Brown are two names that keep coming up in rumors from the press. For now , we move on to Cleveland. Will this be QB Josh Dobbs last game starting? Do the Cardinals put Kyler Murray back at QB after missing half the season on IR? Who is traded at the deadline? These are the questions leading into the game next Sunday. The tanksters gained a lot of ground this week as the Houston Texans lost to the Carolina Panthers. This puts the Cardinals in a tie with the Panthers for the worst record in the NFL and the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Browns are not the offense that the Ravens have. This could be our upset win on the road of the season.

Man, you can tell that he's tired of hearing the same questions all the time. Short answers while not even looking at the person who asked the question. Simply moving on and going through the motions. He'll give a thought-out answer whenever he hears something novel.
Not sure if he's sick of these events...or maybe the stress of the job is getting to him. Maybe both...he's gotta figure out how to get to win #2, but here he is, answering questions that he doesn't want to. He even speaks over people in order to silence a question.

Hmmm? I'm beginning to think that Murray will not start the ATL game either. The man's not working with the starters. He's behind Tune and Driskel on the readiness chart judging from practices with PS.
