I kinda feel like there's a chance these teams could split games this year. See what happens in Az later on.

Dennis Gardek got pressure twice in the entire game. Purdy didn't break a sweat all day. So, your point? It's still solid but I don't think as good as last year. So I'm saying the lack of pressure should be MORE alarming and highlight just how much we need DL help. McKivitz replaced McGlinchey which I believe is downgrade. They replaced center and another guard. OL was one of the few question marks the Niners had before this season started. Yeah, you look at sack numbers and it is not a good representation of our actual pressure. We were gifted two sacks week one when the qB pulled a Kyler and ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage. Dennis has decent sack numbers, but he is not getting consistent pressure on the QB. Still need some help in the trenches. LG addition and two DL.

lol...I was thinking the same thing....almost covered the spread. I think Vegas also called in to remove Hjalte…that kinda killed a drive. I want to see what the actual play that created his removal. I went back and on the screen attempt to Swaim a DL did contact Hjalte’s head, but after the hit he pulled and blocked a defender on the side-line so he wasn’t dazed or acting weird after the hit. NFL and all the gambling ties doesn’t seem to be neutral on calling games. That drive was important to keep up with the Niners. Congrats to the Niners for a solid game. The Cards are a better team than most expected. It is a long season and after the first quarter of the season the wins are lower than the play. The Cards just need to keep playing well and the wins will come.

I have to admit, I don't have a big smile on my face like I did last week....but I don't have a frown either. We knew there would be games like this especially when going up against elite teams. Even so, we made them sweat a little bit in the 3rd quarter. Even though we are a team of mostly no names.....we are not doormats that many thought we would be.

Anyone know what was going on with our center? I could be wrong, but I think he took a hit to the head. They wanted to make sure he went through concussion protocol. The G Wilkenson took a bigger hit later, but mysteriously wasn’t forced into concussion protocol.

Now I really do want to win, but this game was honestly as much as I could have hoped for going into the season. The cards can beat 1/3 of their schedule for sure. Niners are just a different animal, they can do it all and coached well. Hopefully this continues trending the right way and there will be hope for the future for sure.

It's still solid but I don't think as good as last year. So I'm saying the lack of pressure should be MORE alarming and highlight just how much we need DL help We agree on that. Especially since the Cards' D-line looked so good against a Dallas O-line that sported 3 back ups last Sunday. Purdy is 4-0 with a sick QB rating. I'd say the 9'ers O-line is pretty damn good. What really makes me think is Jake Brendel the new Niner Center. Wasn't he a back up OL from Dallas? It's really hard to lose 3 OL and have a OL gel that fast. I think a lot of the Niner's solid blocking comes from using a fullback who is a great blocker, not to mention having great blocking TEs. So a lot of it is the Niner scheme. The good news is I think we are following the Niner model in terms of how its team are built. Coach is finally focusing on the trenches. He fixed the OL this year and next year I expect him to prioritize the DL via FA. Add in another solid TE who can block, plus one solid OG, and I think we could have a top-10 OL

I think there is still hope for 2023 until proven otherwise. Dobbs, GM and coaches are outperforming any projections early in the season. It will be interesting to see what actually happens from now to the end of trade period.

But I still think it will be more about building for the future and get some fun wins in the mix. There are a lot of mediocre to bad teams.

Banks at guard is in his 3rd or 4th year as starting G. Yeah, I think it's the center, plus McGlinchey and other OT they lost. Read an article and posted about it pregame about being a potential issue. They are playing well but I don't think it's as strong as last years Niner OL Center: Nick Zakelj Zakelj was a sixth-round pick last year who went to Fordham, a small school. The 49ers redshirted him, moved him from left tackle to center because he has short arms, and now he'll get a chance to start at center next season. He never has played center in his life, so the 49ers will have to sign or draft another one, but assuming Zakelj can snap the ball, he has the potential to be good because he's a terrific athlete. He's 6'6", 316 pounds and he ran a 5.13 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He can really move for a big man. Physically, he's similar to Ethan Pocic, who was the Browns starting center in 2022. Pocic will be a free agent in March. Perhaps the 49ers will sign him as insurance. He'd be cheap. Right guard: Spencer Burford Burford was a fourth-round pick last year, and he started right away as a 22-year-old rookie, which is impressive. But still, he was a liability and the worst starter on the offensive line. He was so shaky, the 49ers wouldn't let him play full games -- he had to split time with Daniel Brunskill, who frankly was better than Burford. Now Brunskill is a free agent, meaning Burford will have to play more next season. So either he needs to improve dramatically, which could happen, or the 49ers need to get another guard to replace him. Right tackle: Colton McKivitz McKivitz was a fifth-round pick in 2020. In 2021, the 49ers waived him, signed him to the practice squad, then elevated him back to the active a few months later. Meaning no other team wanted him. Since then, he has become the 49ers primary backup tackle. He even started at left tackle against the Rams twice the past two seasons when Trent Williams was injured and the 49ers won both games, so he's not a total disaster. Remember, the 49ers have Chris Foerster -- all of these players are extremely well coached. But McKivitz is not a highly-talented player. He's also a free agent, but the 49ers probably can re-sign him for the veteran's minimum. He's attractive only to them, which means they need to look harder for a better right tackle. This position should be their priority this offseason. Mark Sanchez said as much about the Cardinals. The 49ers this season are a team of destiny. The Cardinals are a team on a mission. We were a wake up call to the 49ers (according to their coach who said we should be 3-0). My hope is that win or lose, this team keeps competing like they are doing because they've been fun to watch so far and sooner or later it's gonna payoff.

I am not disappointed in the loss whatsoever.
Had we been able to contain McCaffrey, the score would have been much closer or possibly we might have had a better chance for the upset.
McCaffrey had 4 TD's. I don't know what team can contain McCaffrey. When we can't slow down the one player scoring most of the points...of course we are going to lose.
To be honest, for Dobbs to help us get 16 points against that defense was pretty good.
I enjoyed watching the game because it wasn't a blowout though most of the game.
On to the next game.
