Check out his college stats compared to Caleb, Daniels and Maye...not even close...am I missing something?

I also think he wasn't asked to do much because they Michigan were blowing teams out and he didn't need to do much but when it was needed he McCarthy performed heck he came back on Alabama to win. I just think he is better then Maye. Maye might in the long run might be better but as of right now I go McCarthy over Maye.

Drake Maye college stats for his last two seasons: 2023 3608 Passing Yards 38 Passing TD's 7 Interceptions 449 Rushing Yards 9 Rushing TD's 2022 4321 Passing Yards 38 Passing TD's 7 Interceptions 698 Rushing Yards 7 Rushing Yards J.J. McCarthy college stats: 2023 2991 Passing Yards 22 Passing TD;s 4 Interceptions 202 Rushing Yards 3 Rushing TD's 2022 2719 Passing Yards 22 Passing TD's 5 Interceptions 306 Rushing Yards 5 Rushing TD's Red, compare their college stats...I am not seeing that McCarthy was better than Maye. Not even close. Am I missing something? I don't watch college ball, so please tell why you think McCarthy is better than Maye. I am going on just the stats alone...I can't see that McCarthy is better than Maye when I compare the stats...it is not even close...

CHI - Williams WAS - Daniels NE - Maye MIN - McCarthy LAC - MHJ
I don't believe the first four picks have ever all been QBs. But there's a first time for everything.

- Caleb Williams
- Jaydon Daniels
- Maye
- MHJ
- Chargers trade down with Vikings - JJ McCarthy
NOTE: Harbaugh is going OL and not WR -- he will pick Latham at pick #11 after trade with Vikings. Chargers brass love Latham -- they will do the Vikings trade for appreciably less (no 2025 pick included) than Monti because "their guy" will still be there at #11; whereas Monti would have needed to trade back up to get Odunze and is too problematic.

Hypothetical: Cardinals trade with someone other than Minn, and Chargers are stuck at five, who are they selecting, Latham? They did lose their top two WRs in free agency.

1. Daniels to CHI 2. Williams to WAS 3. Maye to NE 4. Harrison to ARZ 5. Nabers to LAC
I think CHI prefers Daniels style over Williams. I think WAS covets Williams pedigree. CHI and WAS need to sell tickets and make Blue City fans happy and excited about their rookies. Otherwise, I would have Williams going north to NE. At NE, Maye will be a working man. NE a lot of good players for Maye to succeed. I got Ossenfort playing it safe and taking Harrison. That opens the door for LAC to take either Nabers or Odunze to play catch with Herbert. Herbert might weigh in and want the taller WR. It's a toss up at LAC.

Hypothetical: Cardinals trade with someone other than Minn, and Chargers are stuck at five, who are they selecting, Latham? They did lose their top two WRs in free agency. There are mocks out today with national sportswriters that have Latham going #5 ... there is already smoke of Chargers definitely going after RB Corum on Day 2. Harbaugh did NOT recruit 5-star WR's at Michigan - OL, RB & TE is what he builds offensives around which is why if I am Monti, I am interested in trading with Giants because I think there is still a better than 50/50 chance you can get "free" additional pick(s) and MHJ.

I am drafting Corum at our 66. Perfect backup and future rb.

If you remember in the past it's just not stats that matter to me. I agree and I am not saying McCarthy would always be better no one knows at the next level I just at this stage I prefer McCarthy.
